Emma Naegele
Emma Naegele (cello), 18, began studying the cello with her mother, Els van Oldenborg, when she was 5 years old. Subsequently, she enrolled in the young talent program, AcademieMuzikaal Talent, in her home city, Utrecht, the Netherlands. From 2021 until 2023, Emma was a student at the Musica Mundi School in Waterloo, Belgium, for which she received a generous scholarship from the VandenEnde Foundation. In October 2023 Emma enrolled at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, studying cello with Professor Enrico Bronzi. Emma has participated in masterclasses and had incidental lessons with Mick Stirling, Philipp Müller, Gregor Horsh, Misha Maisky, Michel Strauss, Jens Peter Maintz and Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt. Emma has played solo with several orchestra’s and won prizes in several countries. She has participated in the Musica Mundi festival in Waterloo, Musique de Chambre in Normandie and the Carl Flesh Akademie in Baden- Baden. Emma loves to play chamber music and has played in a large variety of ensembles.
